As the **Head of Data Platforms**, you’ll be the driving force behind technical decisions, ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. Reporting to the Head of Data Engineering and Operations, you’ll collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional solutions.

**What will you be doing?**:

- **Platform Roadmap**:

- Serve as the technical go-to person for the Senior Product Owner and Product Owner.
- Collaborate on defining the platform roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Advise on technical feasibility, risks, and trade-offs when adding new functionalities.
- **Azure Platform Expertise**:

- Stay informed about changes and updates to Azure platforms from Microsoft.
- Lead efforts to prevent or resolve any issues arising from platform updates.
- **Innovation and Optimization**:

- Act as an advisor on new Microsoft products and services.
- Identify opportunities to enhance our platforms using new technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement in data management practices through innovative solutions.
- **Architectural Leadership**:

- Lead the development of new features and solutions on the architectural side of the platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for timely deployment of new features.
- Maintain architectural integrity, scalability, and performance.
- Create and maintain the platform’s architectural documentation.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards and compliance requirements.

**Job description**:

Purpose
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in a specific work area in the context of operating in a Professions and Flexible Resourcing model.
- Plan, oversee and deliver a set of work deliverables on time and to a high standard through effective project management and support of multidisciplinary team members.
- Provide inclusive team leadership by supporting and developing team members and demonstrating commitment to Ofgem values.
