**The position will be based at one of three locality bases: Wigan Life Centre, Hindley Town Hall or Leigh Town Hall.**

**Salary: Grade 6, £27,344 - £30,296 per annum.**

**Your role**:
As part of our Start Well Service, Early Intervention and Prevention, we are looking for a brilliant Start Well Worker to join one of our locality integrated teams, working closely with our communities and key partners to ensure that children in the borough stay safe, healthy and are able to learn and achieve without the need for statutory intervention.

**About you**:
You will have experience of working with children, young people and their families in the community at level 2, 3 or 4 of the safeguarding thresholds. You will work with children, young people and their families helping them to make use of their existing skills, knowledge and relationships in order to achieve their goals, by building resilience and connecting them to their communities.

You will engage in new conversations in order to build positive relationships. You will hold cases using the Early Help framework, completing assessments, developing ‘SMART’ action plans and reviewing and measuring progress to ensure children are safeguarded. You will coach, challenge and support children, young people and their families to enable them to achieve.
