Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Wigan. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with challenging behavior, mild learning disabilities, paranoid schizophrenia, COPD, Parkinson's, and non-specific dementia.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established service, supporting a gentleman in a 2-bedroom bungalow with a garden area, greenhouse, and outhouse. The gentleman enjoys watching TV in his bedroom, spending time outside, visiting the local cafe, going shopping, and discussing trains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the gentleman with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Encourage and facilitate the gentleman's interests and hobbies, promoting independence and social interaction.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to the gentleman, promoting a sense of belonging and well-being.
