Job SummaryWe are looking for a Healthcare Support Worker who is flexible, able to work on any ward and site within the Trust, and has the ability to work internal rotational shifts. The successful candidate will have effective communication skills, be able to deal with people from all backgrounds, and demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with personal care, including washing, dressing, and hygiene needs.
- Support qualified nursing and medical staff in providing patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to maintain a good service provision.
- Prepare and support patients during activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meals.
- Monitor patients' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to registered nurses.
- Contribute to the effective use of resources and supplies within the ward/unit.
- Assist with cleaning and re-stocking of resources, as well as preparing patient beds.
- Participate in learning opportunities to develop personal skills and knowledge.
The ideal candidate will have:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families.
