Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team on the Medical Assessment Unit within the Division of Medicine at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering high-quality patient care as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team.
  • Participate in meetings and handovers to discuss patient progress and care.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels on the ward or department.
  • Undertake errand duties, including transporting specimens, collecting instruments and drugs, and collecting case notes as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of patient case notes as required.
