We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pupil Family Partnership Worker to join a well-established, OFSTED rated 'good' secondary school located in Wigan, to start as soon as possible on a long-term basis. This school caters to 88 pupils with SEMH and behaviour needs, providing them with the support they require to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. The salary for this role is competitive, ranging from £80 to £96 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Supporting assigned key worker pupils between home and school, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Attending Looked After Children (LAC) and safeguarding meetings, advocating for the best interests of the pupils.
- Promoting regular school attendance by working closely with families and addressing any barriers.
- Conducting home visits to foster strong partnerships between school and families.
- Monitoring school taxi transitions, ensuring the safety and well-being of the pupils during transportation.
- Collaborating with the school's multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised support plans.
- Utilising effective behaviour management strategies to facilitate positive change and personal growth.

- Previous experience as a family support worker, social worker, or a similar role in the education or social care sector.
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils and families with SEMH and behaviour needs, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and other professionals.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities to manage a caseload effectively.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
