**Main objectives**:
The Sales and Reservations co-ordinator primary objectives are to conduct the sales and reservations activities promoting all products including Accommodation and Catering. The person will also assist with general administration tasks throughout the company as directed.

**Working relationships**:

- Reports directly to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
- Maintain close working relationships all management particularly the Accounts Manager, Sales & Events Manager and Guest Services Manager.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- You must be attentive to every customer’s request and respond with a genuine desire to deliver.
- You must understand the customer service standards expected and receive the necessary training and support to guarantee these are consistently achieved.
- You must place a high value on cooperation and teamwork within the department and the hotel.
- Take reservations, ensuring all customers receive a friendly and efficient response, which accurately meets their needs.
- Ensure all telephone calls are handled politely and efficiently, ascertaining, and accurately meeting the caller's needs.
- Following up on all provisional enquiries looking to convert these to guaranteed bookings
- Promote all products and services of the hotel to maximise selling opportunities adding customer value at every opportunity.
- Working closely with the sales and events manager to Identify and communicate all events leads to the Sales and Events Manager and responding to these where possible
- Working and co-operating with colleagues to always enhance the guest experience
- Leave clear handovers for the staff covering on your day off, with any information required and tasks that need completing.
- You are responsible for event billing. Please ensure clear communication on this with the accounts manager and sales and events manager.
- You must take responsibility for your own personal development to ensure that you have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform your role effectively.
- You will assist with building new and amending current function packages on rezlynx.
- Complete five day Reservation checks and one day reservation checks. Communicate with your line manager/Guest services manager if there are any queries or anomalies when completing this.
- Ensure all reservations have all details required and all notes are added to Rezlynx so they are visible for the reception/restaurant/housekeeping
- Work closely with the sales and events manager to ensure that function sheets are completed with as much details as possible in time for the function sheet meeting on Wednesday.
- Work closely with the Guest services manager to ensure that flexibility is shown between reservations and reception and all daily/weekly jobs are completed between the two areas.
- Pass on relevant information at the end of each shift through the daily handover
- Work with the Guest services manager to ensure group bookings are administered proficiently.
- Report and log any structural or equipment defects immediately to the maintenance department.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the General Manager or Assistant General Manger

General Responsibilities

1. To be a valued member of the Clifton Arms team, helping and advising colleagues where required, promoting the image of the business, and that of the company, always through active sales activity and a positive approach.

2. To be aware of the security of the hotel and the people in it. Be familiar with all emergency procedures and act positively both in the event of an emergency and to prevent one.

3. To be aware of and ensure that those responsible to you are aware of all legislation that is relevant to your work and ensure that all legal requirements are met including: Licensing; Health and Safety at Work, COSHH, Environmental Health, Fire Precautions, and any others.

Pay: £25,000.00 per year
