We address skills shortages across the nuclear industry and ensure a continuous pipeline of talent into the industry.

The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) is a non-departmental public body created through the Energy Act 2004. We're charged with the mission to clean up the UK's earliest nuclear sites safely, securely and cost-effectively. Doing this with care for our people, communities and the environment is at the heart of our work. We're committed to overcoming the challenges of nuclear clean-up and decommissioning, leaving our 17 sites safe and ready for their next use. We deliver our mission through our site license companies and subsidiaries. NDA's role is to support our sites, businesses and employee's, optimising delivery by providing group leadership, focus and governance.

**Early Careers Co-ordinator**

We are looking to fill three Early Careers Co-ordinator roles, which will focus on the following three areas:

- 1x Recruitment
- 1x Programme Delivery
- The third position will be a flexible resource which will offer support across all team activities, responding to periods of peak demand.

**Job Purpose**

To attract and nurture graduate and Apprentice talent, cultivating their knowledge, skills and expertise and guiding them towards roles across the UK nuclear and related sectors. As an Energus Early Careers Co-Ordinator you will act as a lynchpin between emerging talent and the needs of the sector, ensuring a seamless integration of fresh perspectives and cutting edge expertise.

**Relationship & Context**
- A member of the People and Skills Team
- Energus General Manager, Head of People and Skills, Finance Manager, People and Skills Operational Lead and Events & Communications Lead
- The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) as the Contracting Authority and IPR owner.
- Employability leads at Universities, schools, Colleges and other educational institutions
- Sponsor companies on the programmes, including Company Leads
- Graduate Recruitment Organisations
- Professional institutes
- Suppliers of content, resources and support for all aspects of the Energus People and Skills offer
- Delegation set out in the Scheme of Delegation agreed by the Energus Board

**Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities**
- Assist with the attraction and selection of graduates and Apprentice across a rang of development programmes
- Contribute to the development and implementation of development programmes for new and emerging talent
- Foster strategic partnerships with schools, Colleges, Universities and education bodies to attract new and emerging talent
- Provide guidance and support to participants, facilitating their ongoing development, progression and transition to employment
- Contribute to the development and delivery of engaging training, workshops and learning initiatives
- Track and evaluate participant progress, identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with all Energus policies and procedures

**Qualifications, Experience & Skills**
- Proven experience in supporting early career development
- Understanding of UK nuclear sector current landscape and emerging trends
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with participants, professionals and partners
- Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and participant success
- Excellent IT and administration skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines with good prioritisation and time management skills
- Adaptable and flexible

**Salary**:£29,484 per annum (potential to increase in April 2024)

**Hours of Work**:Monday to Friday; 08:30 to 16:30.
