The Senior HR Advisor will provide senior business focused HR solutions to support the provision of high quality, productive and innovative services across NCL ICB.

The Senior HR Advisor will be expected to provide an effective, professional and senior expert HR advice to management and staff across the ICB. The post holder will be a point of escalation to provide advice to managers on a range of HR areas including employee relations, employee terms and conditions, organisational change, and employment issues to provide an efficient and effective HR service.

The Senior HR Advisor will be responsible for managing key HR workforce indicators, e.g. sickness, appraisals, statutory and mandatory training, managers training and induction, contributing to the development and implementation of HR strategies and plans as required.

Within the ICB and system, the postholder will develop key working relationships with our wider stakeholders, ensuring that the priorities of the ICB and ICS are met through collaborative working.

The post holder will be required to travel and work between the sites.

The Senior HR Advisor will be responsible for managing key HR workforce indicators, e.g. sickness, appraisals, statutory and mandatory training, managers training and induction, contributing to the development and implementation of HR strategies and plans as required.

Within the ICB and system, the postholder will develop key working relationships with our wider stakeholders, ensuring that the priorities of the ICB and ICS are met through collaborative working.

The postholder will already be an established HR expert with experience of providing formal and informal advise to senior managers on complex HR issues, substantial experience of providing advise in accordance with legislation, terms and conditions of employment and local policies and procedures. This post is ideal for a HR professional looking to develop their knowledge and skills to work in a strategic way.

The post holder will be required to travel and work between the sites. The post holder will be required to provide cross cover arrangements when necessary.

HR advice responsibilities
- Advise and assist managers at all stages of the HR policies and employee relations matters including informal and formal resolution of cases. This will include carrying out investigations with line managers, production of investigation reports, liaising with staff side, preparation of management cases, presentation of management cases at hearings, preparation and presentation of appeal cases.
- Represent HR on panels to consider ill-health, grievance, performance and disciplinary issues and on appeal panels as appropriate, providing advice on procedural, legislative and employee relations implications of cases
- Provide HR representation at meetings regarding employee relations issues relating to individuals, some of which will require communication of complex and sensitive information in an emotive atmosphere and in all cases accurate recording of the meeting
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with partners e.g. Staff Side, payroll provider, Occupational Health etc to support delivery of contracts and in instances will require negotiation and influencing skills.
