Are you a passionate, dedicated Young Person’s Advisor looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Young Person’s Advisor to join a Safeguarding and Family Support / Independent Futures team based in Islington.

Umbrella Pay: £26.07 per hour

Duration: 14/08/2023 - 06/11/2023

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, 35 hrs/week (must be flexible)

Young Person’s Advisor role: Full JD Available
- Manage a caseload
- The ultimate goal being to support our young people to secure independence as and when they are assessed to be ready to do so
- To achieve good outcomes for children looked after and those leaving care
- To assess risk and devise multi-agency plans for young people
- Building effective relationships with the children, young people and their carers
- Improve outcomes for children and young people by supporting them to come to terms with their losses, experience reparative parenting, establish meaningful relationships
- Promoting their education, training and employment opportunities to enable them to lead fulfilling and successful lives
- Being ambitious for every child to reach their potential in all aspects of their development including education, health and emotional wellbeing, from 0-25
- Work with the professional network to identify permanent placements for all young people at the earliest possible opportunity, ensuring that the right support is offered
- To work in partnership with the professional network to offer clear pathways and access to a range of universal, specialist and targeted services
- To effectively record the work that is undertaken with the young people and their carers
- Attend meetings and reviews where necessary

Essential Requirements:

- A relevant vocational qualification - at least to NVQ Level 4 or above
- Experience of working with young people, children and/or their families
- Experience delivering trauma informed interventions and help
- Ability to make assessments of young people
- Ability to build working relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
- Enhanced Children and Adult DBS registered to the update service
