**Purpose of The Role**:

- Reporting to the Director of Education this role will be responsible for the delivery of a programme of transformation projects to support the council's ambition to transform the SEND system in the borough alongside key partners. The post holder will lead the design and delivery of change required within specific workstreams of the SEND Strategic Vision and Priorities, through a combination of service delivery transformation, co-ordination of commissioning projects, and the facilitation of cross-system change.
- The role will work closely with the SEN Service, and other internal stakeholders (transformation, finance and capital projects) as well as key partners (educational settings and health) to achieve the outcomes set out in the SEND Strategic Vision and Priorities. The role will provide advice and recommendations to the SEND Governance Board, ensure that plans are in place and delivered, and facilitate the governance associated with the transformation.

**Qualifications/ Experience required**:

- Substantial experience, evidenced by a solid track record of success, leading transformation in a complex and dynamic system.
- Experience of leading on new ways of working and delivery of culture change in a high-profile complex system.
- Understanding of the organisational context of the key organisations involved in the SEND system (health, local government, social care and education) and familiar with the language.
- Extensive experience of managing complex programmes and understanding of how to communicate with senior leaders.
