**Job description**
**Ignition Architect**
KPMG Overview
KPMG is part of a global network of firms that offers Audit, Tax & Pensions, Consulting, Deal Advisory and Technology services. Through the talent of over 16,000 colleagues, we bring our creativity and insight to our clients' most critical challenges. With offices across the UK, we work with everyone from small start-ups and individuals to major multinationals, in virtually every industry imaginable. Our work is often complex, yet our vision is simple: to be the clear choice for our clients, for our people and for the communities we work in.
What is Ignition
We believe that in today's world, to solve complex business issues and to spark real change, you need to think and work differently. Traditional transformation approaches often don't take you far enough, quickly enough. Rational, technical, 'best practice' solutions often take much longer to embed in an organisation than planned or expected. We believe that the key to unlock this problem is outcome-focussed innovation and collaboration.
In the summer of 2020, we opened theUK's first Ignition Centre, which has been a client experience game-changer - positively transforming the way we work with our clients, and each other, by combining specialist ways of working with dynamic, collaborative physical, virtual and hybrid environments. It not only helps us to deliver what clients need today, it also brings our digital expertise and content to life in new ways and enables us to develop solutions which prepare clients for a changing future. The success of the London centre means that we are now ready to expand the UK Ignition footprint with our second Ignition centre, located in Manchester. This role will be primarily based in Manchester and will work closely with the London centre.
What it's like to work with us
Ignition delivers powerful, immersive experiences - often in the form of events, enabled by bespoke Ignition spaces - the Discovery & Insights Centre, the Lab, the U Collaborate suite and our Sprint rooms. These experiences drive insight, acceleration, genuine transformation breakthroughs and ultimately, performance.
We work with C Suite clients, helping them to solve their biggest and most complex challenges in very accelerated timescales - motivating, challenging and influencing them every step of the way.
We deal with highly ambiguous, high intensity and high 'risk and reward' scenarios. Ignition engagements are typically triggered when senior clients need urgent/ critical help in solving issues. This means the stakes are high for the client and for KPMG and the route to the 'answer' is often challenging to find. As well as strong consulting skills, our team requires flexibility, perseverance, influencing skills and an ability to work under pressure and to very tight timelines.
Role description
To deliver Ignition sessions designed to help clients solve their most complex problems across all our services.
An Ignition Architect typically works alongside a Lead Facilitator to deliver client facing and internal events. These are typically events supporting clients through a significant challenge or transformation journey, usually with the intention of accelerating and aligning through effective collaboration. Often you will be working directly with a project team helping them through the design cycle. Occasionally you will lead smaller engagements from scoping through to delivery and often you will be managing a portfolio of events simultaneously. You will also balance a portfolio of work contributing to venture and business development.
**Responsibilities**:
- Working with the Lead Facilitator, help senior clients to understand and unpack their most complex challenges and develop effective event/ experience design in response, that is integrated within the client engagement
- Lead on the project management of design and delivery of events and interactions, including preparation/ production of inputs for client design meetings and events, managing the delivery team during the event and managing post-production
- With appropriate support, lead and facilitate smaller scale events from design through to delivery, developing presentation, facilitation and influencing skills plus overall presence and impact
- Actively promote and link up Ignition across the specified and agreed KPMG coverage and capability areas - identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals and driving pipeline
- Take a role in driving innovation and continuous improvement by leading on a range of internal initiatives, with support from a senior sponsor, this may include continuous improvement and may include sales, marketing, recruitment, process design etc.
Essential skills & experience
- All round core consulting skills with experience in delivering client facing projects driving transformation and change, demonstrating commerciality, effective stakeholder management, ability to build client relationships a
