**The role**

As the Asset Improvement Coordinator, you will report to the Divisional Investment Engineer and be responsible for delivering minor asset improvement and health and safety-related projects given to you by our corporate Engage Health and Safety system. This will be from the initial concept stage all the way through to the successful commissioning and hand over stages, as well as regularly reporting in health and safety action status.??

The responsibilities will include:?
- coordinating the observations that are raised using Engage
- working closely with Site Managers to develop cost effective and safe solutions?that comply with our current standards
- managing the actions whole lifecycle with Site Managers and key stakeholders?
- prioritising outstanding work?to produce a programme of delivery
- undertaking the full management of contractors in line with the latest procedures?
- delivering works within appropriate Wessex Water Environmental procedures and/or Drinking Water Quality standards?
- delivering the construction of agreed solutions and providing feedback to the original raiser and wider business as required
- challenging observations with a consistent approach using the company risk assessment criteria in line with the health and safety strategy
- communicating any trends or culture improvements back to the business to ensure ‘lessons learned’ are logged, known, and learned from.

**What do I need?**

?

Knowledge of delivering water and wastewater projects within the UK water industry is not a necessity, as other experience in other utilities could be relevant.

?

Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and Project is preferred. An understanding of UK health and safety legislation is also important, particularly Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015.

In addition to the above, you will be a conscientious and positive team player, who can work independently, flexibly, and efficiently, while constantly monitoring progress against the programme and clearly and concisely communicating to all stakeholders.
