Disability Service Coordinator

Student Wellbeing Services at Lancaster University is looking to appoint a Disability Service Coordinator working within the Disability and Inclusive Practice Service.
You will be part of a proactive front-line student enquiry and advice team who deliver high quality, disability provision and advice for students. You will assist the development and delivery of new proactive, inclusive and accessible services (in-person and digital) that meet student need.
You will have administrative experience, work effectively both individually and as part of a team, have excellent IT skills, communication and customer service skills and experience of managing data and providing advice and information. Attention to detail, confidence with data and the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritise with mínimal supervision are essential elements of this role. This varied and challenging role offers wide scope for personal and professional development.
As part of the Student Services Team, you will also offer student advice and guidance services, initial assessments of student needs and the coordination of arrangements to implement reasonable adjustments to support compliance with the Equality Act 2010. You will work with students both in-person and through digital platforms, liaising with colleagues and departments to facilitate the implementation of appropriate adjustments. You will work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team, triaging student and staff queries and escalating issues where appropriate.
While the start date will be negotiable, we are looking to fill this exciting, challenging role as soon as possible. Please note, being able to work flexibly is a requirement of this role; you will work both virtually and in an open plan office in a service that operates 9am - 5pm weekdays with this role being located on campus for the majority of working hours. The Disability Service Coordinator is a full-time role for 36.5 hours per week. The University holds an Athena SWAN Charter Bronze Award, which recognises and celebrates good employment practice undertaken to address gender equality in higher education.
