Flammability Testing Technician

Our clients Floor Coverings and Flammability Team conducts testing on a wide range of furniture and floor coverings products for a global customer base, to ensure products meet a minimum level of quality.
The department consists of a series of accredited laboratories, housing a range of test equipment and machines, used by the team to test the physical properties of furniture and floor coverings against International, European, and British standards.
The Floor Coverings and Flammability Team consists of multi skilled technicians, technologists and other support staff, arranging and conducting the testing of floor coverings and furniture flammability.

About The Role

As a Testing Technician responsible for flammability testing, you will be required to conduct routine flammability testing submitted by customers, to ensure compliance with legislation and quality standards, whilst promoting the brand, in order to deliver onthe key responsibilities of the role, which include:

- Testing flammability samples to British, European and International standards
- Recording of results on paper or electronically in preparation for transfer to test reports
- Prepare test samples prior to testing
- Maintain tidiness of the testing areas
- Maintain sample storage
About You
- You must be highly organised, enthusiastic and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be able to accurately follow testing procedures and methods
- You should be competent in the use of Microsoft Office products, in particular MS Excel and MS Word.
- You will need to have a keen eye for detail and be methodical when making electronic entries onto systems and when completing paperwork
- You will need to demonstrate excellent time management skills and to possess a flexible approach to working being able to respond to changing deadlines and priorities.
