Impact Recruitment Services is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join our esteemed Safety Product Testing division.

Role Responsibilities

The Safety Product Testing team is responsible for evaluating a diverse array of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure compliance with established safety standards.

The PPE under examination includes, but is not limited to, gloves, fall protection gear, motorcycle apparel, high visibility garments, eyewear, helmets, hearing protection devices, chainsaw protective clothing, kneepads, and sports safety equipment.

This department is equipped with several accredited laboratories, featuring advanced testing apparatus and machinery utilized by our team to assess the physical characteristics of PPE in accordance with International and European regulations.

Testing outcomes are documented and communicated to clients, aiding in product enhancement or facilitating certification processes.

Team Composition

The Safety Product Testing team comprises approximately 25 skilled technicians, technologists, and support personnel, who coordinate and execute the testing of PPE.

Specific Duties

This Quality Assurance Technician position primarily focuses on the motorcycle apparel testing sector, which includes the evaluation of jackets, trousers, race suits, gloves, and impact protection gear.

As a Technician within the Safety Products Testing team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Acquiring knowledge of and comprehending international standards for PPE testing.
  • Utilizing testing equipment and machinery to produce accurate results.
  • Preparing test samples prior to the evaluation process.
  • Assisting technologists during client interactions as necessary; comprehensive training will be provided for all aspects of the role.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics, with a minimum grade of C.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel and MS Word, is essential.
  • Ability to meticulously adhere to testing protocols and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated excellent time management capabilities and a flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to shifting deadlines and priorities.
