About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Technician to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis. As a Furniture Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out various tasks related to furniture testing and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and conditioning of furniture prior to testing
  • Testing and assisting with physical testing of mattresses, cabinets, tables, and seating to British, European, and international standards
  • Maintaining cleanliness of laboratory areas, including assisting others with moving furniture samples
  • Planning and agreeing testing schedules with customers and the Head of Furniture

Requirements:

  • GCSE Maths, English, and Science minimum Grade C (Grade 5 or above)
  • Good computer skills - Word and Excel
  • Demonstrable experience of organisation and planning skills
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Experience working within the furniture industry
  • Experience in testing different types of consumer products
  • Forklift truck experience
