An exciting opportunity has arisen for a endocrine speciality PA/MDT coordinator which will also involve some waiting list coordination within the surgery division.

This is Initially a full time fixed term/secondment for 12 months.

This role is based at the City Hospital campus.

Main duties of the job

You will have access to sensitive and confidential information and will therefore need to be able to maintain sensitivity and empathy while behaving in a professional manner.** **In undertaking this role, the employee will be expected to behave at all times that is consistent with and actively supports the Trust values.

You will also have daily contact with staff and patients at various levels and must be able to communicate at an appropriate level, conveying information clearly and accurately.

You will be a competent IT user and will have experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

**Key job responsibilities**
- Adrenal MDT Coordinator (Currently monthly but will be changed to weekly in the near future)
- Specialty PA to Endocrine surgeons
- Waiting list coordination for UGI/Endocrine service
- Establish and maintain admin systems/databases
- Dealing with incoming mail, results/reports management
- Attending/organising meetings, take minutes.
- Ensure RTT patient data quality is accurate.
- Key point of contact for consultant
- Communication link to directorate management team, regarding consultant leave/service issues
- To manage Advice & Guidance requests
- Dealing with consultant queries/visitors, managing consultant diary.
- Telephone calls inbound/outbound relating to patients specific care, in a confidential manner.
- Typing of non-clinical letters as required.
- To support and mentor new staff.
- Share responsibility with line manager for own personal development.
- Undertake HR related tasks, appraisals and recruitment.
- Undertake any other duties which may be reasonably required.

Essential criteria
- Previous administrative experience
- Competent in Microsoft packages
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of managing change and conflicting priorities

Desirable criteria
- GCSE's Maths and English level A-C
- Previous experience of working in a hospital setting
- Experience in Minute taking

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
