An important part of our improvement involves how we communicate and engage with our residents and other stakeholders. To help us deliver this work, we’ve created the new role of Content and PR Officer.

This crucial new role will:

- Plan and produce campaigns and public relation opportunities to promote the business including developing proactive press releases.
- Lead on responding to reactive enquiries from the media, liaising with colleagues in Cornwall Council to produce appropriate responses.
- Provide senior managers in the business with sound advice in relation to managing the organisation’s public profile, including media interview techniques.
- Coordinate the development of good photographic and video content to support staff, resident and stakeholder communications.
- Create regular digital and traditional communications content in line with the organisation’s brand and tone of voice to enhance reputation and build trust.
- Undertake research internally and externally and interview residents, staff and contractors to develop user focused content to create leaflets, articles, web stories and instructional videos.

To be successful, you'll be:

- Communications, marketing, or journalism qualification to degree level or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of effective communications across multiple channels in a social housing or similar service-related environment
- Understanding the principles and practices of Social Housing operations, community support networks and the welfare system
- High IT literacy and experience of using Microsoft Office and other digital content IT systems for presenting and producing information

**Our offer to you**

Salary - £25,075

Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week)

Hybrid working - mostly working from home with regular trips to head office in Bodmin and in the community as required
