**JOB TITLE**:Technical Administrator
**LOCATION**: Bridgwater
**SALARY**: £22,000- £25,000 PA DOE
**HOURS**: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday 08.00-16.30
**BENEFITS**: 21 days holiday plus bank holidays (there may be a requirement to work occasional bank holidays but you will get a day back in lieu) Work pension, on site parking, staff discount on staff orders from depot or at retail shops, afantastic fun team environment.
**THE COMPANY**: Our client are a well-established and highly respected family-owned wholesale business who supply products to the food industry throughout the South West. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business.
**KEY DUTIES**:
- Maintain the Quality Managing System and Assist the QA Manager to maintain certification.
- Monitor the Supplier Approval and Supply chain procedure.
- manufacturing processes - have some familiarities with operations on site e.g. storage, Distribution, picking.
- Problem Solving Skills
- effective product quality control, quality checks and root cause analysis.
- Communication Skills - informing site managers and personnel about daily defects and delays.
- Manage the traceability system recalls or withdrawals.
- Responsibility to complete specification of products based on Laboratory analysis.
- Completion of Certificates of Conformance and maintaining Certificates of Analysis from suppliers.
- Maintain contacts for suppliers and ensure all certificates, SAQ's and VAQ's are up to date.
- Creation and confirmation that all procedures comply with EU Regulations and ensure that the workshop is always a safe working environment.
- Respond to customer and sales representants queries in a timely manner, giving accurate and customer focused responses.
- Completion of internal hygienic audits on a monthly base and escalate findings to relevant departments.
- Support the product buyers and assess the products, as and when required.
- Arrange samples for Laboratory analysis.
- Support the Technical Manager with the preparation of data and documentation for external audits.
- Ensure that any urgent requests or issues are dealt with and escalated as appropriate in a timely manner and key tasks are completed.
- Run and complete Goods In Reports, as well as help in KPIs.
- Provide information to Technical Manager with supplier and product quality management information.
- Complete questionnaires on online portals & communicate with other companies.

- Have GCSE English & Maths, or equivalent.
- Have a good working knowledge of Word & Excel.
- Some experience within a food environment preferred but not essential.
- Previous technical experience would be desired but not essential.
