**Salary range**: £29,269 - £32,076 per annum

**Work location**: Base office: Banbury Register Office, with regular working at Oxford Register Office, as well as Bicester, and Witney Registration Offices.

You may be required to work anywhere in the county based on operational needs, so will need the ability to travel independently.

**Hours per week**: 37 - some weekend/bank holiday working will be required as part of the on-call rota to undertake emergency registrations, for which additional payment will be made.

**About the role**:
The Registration Officer will spend the majority of their time interviewing customers in face-to-face appointments, registering life events (births, deaths and still-births) and taking Notices of Marriage and Civil Partnership. Training will also be given in conducting and registering marriage and civil partnership ceremonies, and once the initial training period has been completed, you will also spend time in the Registration Hub, assisting colleagues and customers with advanced queries. This is a very busy and varied role in which you will be meeting people who may display a range of different emotions and who may have complex and challenging situations. It offers the opportunity to provide excellent service and support at difficult moments in customers’ lives and to ensure that they are able to complete the required procedures within statutory frameworks and timescales.
