The Principal Medical Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team as a GP Practice Pharmacist with Independent Prescribing Qualification. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care and improving health outcomes.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing expert medication management and optimisation services to patients, including medication reviews, reconciliation, and education.
- Working closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective prescribing systems and policies.
- Liaising with community and hospital pharmacies to ensure seamless patient care and medication management.
- Participating in the education and training of healthcare professionals, including GP trainees and medical students.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance policies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Mandatory registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Specialist knowledge acquired through postgraduate diploma level or equivalent training/experience.
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a similar role.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information in an understandable form to a variety of audiences.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and internet software.
