Head of Research

The appointment is for a full time Head of Research. Trust funding for this post has increased from 0.53WTE to 1.0 WTE. We anticipate that the extra income brought in by expansion of this role will be recovered within 24 months, with additional income streams during this period being given back to the trust to offset the amount supported. If this is achieved as anticipated, then the role should become substantive after 24-months.

**The post holder is responsible for**:

- Strategic and operational management of research activity across the Trust;
- Taking a lead role in development, interpretation, implementation and monitoring of research policy and strategy, ensuring implementation and that performance targets, strategic objectives are met; contributes to corporate policies and strategy;
- Staff and budgetary management;
