**The role**:
The Faculty of Engineering is seeking to recruit a Faculty Process Improvement and Implementation Officer to support continuous improvement initiatives in education administration. Working under the direction of the Faculty Head of Student Administration (FHSA), the role holder will be responsible for a programme of change activity whilst at the same time providing support to the delivery of core business as usual activities.
- You will champion the continuous improvement of education administration processes, playing a lead role in facilitating process change and system development.
- You will ensure appropriate implementation of University and Faculty policy in education and related processes and interpret these policies to provide advice and expertise.
- You will deputise for the FHSA as necessary and attend Faculty and University meetings as required.

This role is available on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave.

**What will you be doing?**:
The objective of the Faculty Process Improvement and Implementation Officer role is to support the continuous improvement of education administration arising from the Education Administration Enhancement (EAE) programme, through process change, system development, support documentation and training, and information governance. Typically, this work is delivered as short projects following the agile methodology.

The Faculty Process Improvement and Implementation Officer will be a key member of the team responsible for the successful delivery of a programme of change, while providing support to the delivery of core business as usual activities. The role has particular responsibility for implementation, documentation and/or training and post-implementation review. You will oversee the areas of process, policy, change and teaching administration across the faculty. You will deputise for the Faculty Head of Student Administration (FHSA) for particular activities and at University meetings, as required.

Whilst the role is based in one Faculty, the continuous improvement initiatives linked to EAE cover all faculties. Hence the role holder will work on EAE initiatives across faculties under the direction of the FHSA in the Faculty of Engineering.

You will significant experience of education administration and management in Higher Education and be familiar with current process change and project management methodologies.

Strong leadership skills, including the ability to plan and manage the workload of others are essential, as are data analysis and IT skills.
