Audiology Specialist Practitioner

This vacancy has arisen within the Audiology Service for a pre-or post-registrant Clinical Scientist or a Specialist Audiologist to assist in the provision of a high quality Audiology service to the population of North Wales served by BCUHB. The post holder will perform duties within the Adult Audiology service as described in the job description.
The post will be based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The roles will be performed in outpatient, domiciliary and/or in-patient settings across the area served by BCUHB.
There will be responsibility to train and supervise other clinical staff where appropriate. Clinical Scientists or Audiologists with the relevant experience will be considered.
This is an ideal opportunity to further develop clinical and service development skills in a supportive and progressive environment.
The Specialist Practitioner in Audiology will provide specialist assessment and rehabilitation within Clinical Audiology services. This will involve leading individual care planning and delivery as an Independent Practitioner. Additionally, the Specialist Practitioner will lead specific areas of scientific activity as allocated by more senior colleagues. This will include contribution to service development activity, audit, research and delivery of in-house continuing professional development activity and interagency work. The Specialist Practitioner will contribute to the training and supervision of more junior colleagues and trainees.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
