**Health, Safety and Environment Advisor - Meantime**

Asahi UK are looking for a passionate Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to join the team at our Meantime brewery in Greenwich.

The role of the Health, Safety and Environment Advisor is to support the development and implementation of an OHS strategy and associated plan for the business to drive a Health & Safety culture and ensure full compliance to legislation and Environmental standards. Providing first line specialist support and advice on all Health, Safety and Environment matters to managers and colleagues ensuring compliance with legislation and policy. Maintain, review and continually improve / develop the Company's Health, Safety and Environmental systems, policies and procedures. Provide training to prevent accidents, conduct risk assessments and investigate accidents/near misses making recommendations for improvements.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Ensure Compliance to the Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policy and UK Health and Safety Legislation.
- To drive best practice across the business and develop a strong Safety/Environmental culture.
- To support the development of business wide policies, standards, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance to H&S and Environmental legislation and site standards to deliver a consistent approach
- Advise Line Managers on the latest legislation to ensure site wide HSE compliance
- Liaise with external bodies as required e.g. HSE, Fire Officers, EHO etc.
- Proactively promote a positive safety culture and build awareness among the workforce in relation to Legislation and the Company’s business requirements
- Directly monitor Health and Safety issues, operating practices, etc., in order to create and maintain a safe working environment, making regular routine inspections of all areas of the site
- Constantley develop the H&S audit and programme to meet changes in legislation and ensure completion within an agreed timeframe
- Provide or source, where necessary, training and development for employees in relation to Health & Safety matters
- To Support the Striving for a culture of zero personal and environmental accidents with full visibility, investigation, and detailed accounts of any incidents across the business. Investigate or arrange for accidents and near misses to be investigated, prepare report of findings (including recommendations on how to prevent recurrence) and implement approved course action
- Arrange and carry out workplace safety inspections and risk assessments, report on findings and then support implementing changes and improvements
- Assist Colleagues with statement recording, legal advice, etc. as necessary
- Ensure the First Aiders policy is adhered to per site and all First Aiders are sufficiently trained and clear on their responsibilities in each location.
- Ensure the Emergency Fire evacuation Strategy is regularly tested and where improvements identified support the business to make improvements.
- Provide cover for Health, Safety and Safety Manager during holiday’s etc.
- Complete any other reasonable tasks/ requests as required to meet KPI targets and Monitor and report on all statistical KPIs and reports to relevant parties to drive improvements.
- **H & S Committee (Communication & Participation)** - To support the development of an effective team of H&S champions and support them in delivering key H& Initiatives and activities to reduce risks across the business Coordinate the shared best practice and learnings
- **Training** - Deliver an effective SHE Is training Strategy to ensure full compliance on all training requirements per site. Implement the strategic training plan to cascade through all sites sourcing the most appropriate training providers in the industry.
- **Legislation** - To keep the business informed of any new legislation, identify gaps, and implement actions to ensure compliance standards are maintained and improved. To update the evaluations of Legal compliance registers and advise employees on any changes that are likely to impact them

- Overall responsibility for facilities at Meantime working with both employees and external providers
- Maintaining a good relationship with our external service providers to ensure services are delivered to a high standard. In
