Cafe Team Leader

**Skills required**
- Knowledge of food, food hygiene and food preparation

- To be able to take and follow instructions
**Qualifications Required**
- Level 2 Food Safety in Catering (this can be obtained once offered the position - cost to employee £24 online course)
- First Aid at Work (this qualification will be paid for by the company once offered the position)
**Main Job responsibilities**
- To independently open and close the café, including cashing up daily sales.
- To plan, organise and host children’s parties in the café and soft play area.
- To assist the supervisor with the daily running of the café
- To manage and motivate the café assistants and pot washers.
- Preparing food and drinks, serving on the till and coffee machine.
- To carefully prepare any food and drinks for customers with dietary requirements, following all safety procedures.
- To observe and work strictly to all hygiene and health and safety regulations, filling in any relevant paperwork required in the monthly planner.
- Handling customer enquiries and passing any complaints on to the Supervisor/Manager
- Greeting and advising customers
- To clean to a high standard the kitchen area, counter and café area following strict guidelines.
- To place daily orders with suppliers
- To ensure all deliveries are put away quickly and efficiently.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £9.00-£11.75 per hour
