We have two posts available at either Trainee Planning Enforcement Officer, Planning Enforcement Officer or Senior Planning Enforcement Officer Level.

**TRAINEE PLANNING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER**

**GRADE & SALARY: Grade 5 (£22,369 - £23,620)**

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
You will support the Planning Department Enforcement Officers in investigating potential breaches of planning control and assist with the full range of planning enforcement duties, in order to develop the necessary skills to progress to a Planning Enforcement Officer role. You will work closely with Planning Enforcement Officers and managers within the Planning team who will provide mentorship and support in the provision of development and training for the post.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
We are looking for someone qualified to HNC/ HND level in a relevant discipline such as Construction Management/ Surveying, or an equivalent period of extended experience in a planning related discipline or similar environment.

The role involves undertaking a full range of planning enforcement duties under the supervision of Senior Officers, managing a case load of planning enforcement investigations and working closely with planning officers within the Development Management Area Teams. You will work within a framework of established processes and procedures, following practice and precedent to put forward recommendations to resolve breaches of planning control or to pursue formal enforcement action.

Planning Enforcement Officer
- **SENIOR PLANNING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER**

**GRADE & SALARY: Grade 7 (£27,852 - £31,099)**

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
We are looking for someone qualified to HNC/ HND level in a relevant discipline such as Construction Management/ Surveying, or an equivalent period of extended experience in a planning related discipline or similar environment. We are looking for someone with a high level of practical computer literacy.

You will undertake the full range of planning enforcement duties, managing a case load of planning enforcement investigations and overseeing the work of a small team of Enforcement Officers, to provide training, guidance and instigate new processes and practice to support the enforcement service.

Senior Planning Enforcement Officer
