We are working exclusively with our client who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join the team in this newly created role. They will be studying towards an accounting qualification CIMA or ACCA and want to be part of a growing team, wherethey will receive excellent mentoring and the freedom to let their opinions be heard.

This is an interesting, varied role and one where the experience gained will be highly beneficial to your career. Working as part of the team, duties will include:

- Preparation of month-end management accounts for assigned business units
- Analyse the actual monthly P&L results understanding key variances to budget and to the prior year
- Support departments in preparing their quarterly P&L forecasts and annual budgets by providing financial information and reviewing the proposed figures
- Preparation of prepayments and accruals, and to support the process of reconciling the balance sheet accounts for these costs
- Ensure revenue is recognised in the month in which the corresponding good or service is delivered
- Review accrued purchase orders each month
- Stock reconciliation between balance sheet and stock system reports, investigating any material variances
- Identify business improvement opportunities by working closely with the departmental heads
- Attend regular departmental meetings & to offer financial guidance where appropriate
- Ad-hoc duties as required

You’ll be busy and working with people who are passionate about the business, providing variety and job satisfaction.

The role is within commutable distance of Banbury, Brackley, SIlverstone, Towcester, Buckingham, Milton Keynes, Northampton and Daventry
- Salary: £negotiable per annum - depending on experience
- Study support
- Hours: 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday - Hybrid working (2 days WFH, 3 days office based)
