An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a thriving Improvement and Effectiveness team as Training and Reasearch Lead.

Oxford Healthcare Improvement (OHI) includes Quality Improvement, Clinical Audit and Effectiveness, CQC readiness and coordination of the trusts Journey to Excellence programme.

Training is a core part of the OHI offering across the Trust, and this role will help design and deliver training packages for staff, service users and carers to support OHI activity.

The postholder will be required to communicate, engage, influence, and advise trust colleagues, patients, carers & families, and external stakeholders as key point of contact within OHI for training and research.

The role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of training required to support OHI activity, defining training needs across the Trust and developing programmes to meet them ensuring that the training schedule and programme are accessible to all. The post holder will also ensure that training developed and delivered training meets the high standards of the team and enables staff to bring about data-driven, sustainable improvement.

Leadership of the Applied Leadership module of a Level 7 Leadership programme to include marking of submitted papers is also required.

The provision of research expertise to support improvement and effectiveness will also sit within this post and will require senior leadership to support the prioritisation of evidence-based practice and utilisation of advanced research skills.

There will be an expectation for the post holder to provide leadership on an improvement project in the Trust to ensure improvement skills are maintained and can be put into practice.
