We are seeking a highly skilled senior researcher to join our team at the University of Oxford's Big Data Institute. The successful candidate will have expertise in state-of-the-art machine learning and a strong passion for applying it to real-world healthcare challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply novel machine learning approaches to healthcare data to improve diagnosis and treatment of infections and other serious illnesses.
  • Design and implement predictive and generative AI tools to enhance hospital operations and patient care.
  • Identify opportunities for innovative applications of machine learning in healthcare data analysis.
  • Collaborate with our research group to evaluate high-performing tools in real-world healthcare settings.
About the Role

This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 31 March 2026. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning and a keen interest in healthcare data analysis. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate a clear understanding of the importance of uncertainty quantification in machine learning models.
