The Head of Financial Reporting, UK is responsible for delivery of Financial, Client and Regulatory Reporting for Citigroup UK-domiciled clients. The primary service is the delivery of annual and semi-annual financial statements.

The individual, along with the team supervisors, will be responsible for ensuring that the team meets all client and regulatory deliverables, effective operational controls are in place, and that process improvements are continuously identified and executed.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Overseeing and ensuring that all client reporting and regulatory deliveries meet agreed service level agreements.
- Allocating responsibilities to teams and maintaining the optimal team structure to service clients efficiently
- Developing and coaching the team through goal setting, regular one to ones and formal annual and semi-annual performance reviews
- Identifying opportunities for efficiencies and driving new developments and enhancements forward for the team.
- Ensuring communication with the client, both internal and external, regulator, offshore sites and external vendors is professional, succinct and accurate.
- Developing strong, pro-active relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborating closely with other relevant operational peers to ensure that process risks are minimised.
- Keeping up to date on accounting standards and regulatory change.
- Ensuring that offshore and onshore teams have the necessary knowledge and process understanding and are kept up to date with regulatory and accounting standard changes.
- Ensuring that the onshore teams provide helpful and constructive feedback to the offshore team in the form of calls/issue logs to help keep accuracy levels high and quickly resolve issues.

**Knowledge/Experience**
- Knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS & the IA SORP Reporting is essential with COLL knowledge also valuable
- Domain knowledge of Financial Reporting and Tax for Fund Accounting is essential
- Domain knowledge of Fund Accounting Regulatory and Client Reporting will be an advantage
- Project Management and Change Management experience will be an advantage

**Skills**
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and prioritise within tight deadlines while maintaining total accuracy
- Highly numerate
- Pragmatism combined with a can-do attitude is a pre-requisite.
- A high energy level and an enquiring mind

**Qualifications**

Chartered Accountant qualification is highly desirable.
