THE SEARCH:
Altus Partners is collaborating with a rapidly expanding financial services and technology organization in the UK. In light of substantial growth and private equity backing, they are in pursuit of a seasoned and proactive FP&A leader to join their finance team and oversee the FP&A function during a transformative phase. As the Head of FP&A, you will assume complete responsibility for planning and analysis, serving as a vital liaison for senior stakeholders throughout the organization. You will lead business planning, budgeting, forecasting, data analysis, and robust financial management while providing essential support for growth initiatives, including enhancements to systems and processes.
THE ROLE:
- Formulate and execute financial strategies that align with the company's goals and expansion plans.
- Data and Insights: Elevate the level of business intelligence by establishing relevant KPIs, trends, and forecasts that drive revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow.
- Transformation: Focus on enhancing output and quality within FP&A while ensuring the implementation of effective processes and controls.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to deliver financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Oversee long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Develop and maintain intricate financial models to project future financial performance and aid strategic decision-making.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.
- Provide strategic financial input to the executive team and private equity stakeholders.
- Assist the Head of Finance with data and key management information for private equity investors, ensuring clear and timely communication regarding financial updates, performance reports, and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor and guide the execution of business plans, both financial and broader commercial.
- Work collaboratively across functions to gather and analyze data, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial performance.
- Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to effectively convey financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated success as a Senior FP&A Manager, Head of, or Associate Director level FP&A professional in a growth-oriented business with complex corporate finance responsibilities.
- 8+ years of post-qualification experience.
- A solid finance education (ACA, ACCA, Chartered Accountant, or CIMA qualified) with a proven track record in senior finance roles within growth organizations.
- Experience in the Financial Services sector.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and exceptional PowerPoint skills, including the ability to produce high-quality reports.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software.
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
