Easter Revision House Parent

The Role_
Reporting to the Course Manager, the House Parent, will be responsible for contributing to the general pastoral and personal welfare of the boarders in the house.
It is important that the House Parent is able to establish a friendly rapport with the pupils to increase the homely feel of the house and to be available as an alternative listening ear whilst upholding the rules of the house and school.
The House Parent will have a particular duty to ensure that pupils are dealing properly with their own organisation, including tidiness, health and hygiene, and that shared facilities such as kitchenettes and bathrooms are properly treated (although the cleaning of these areas remains the responsibility of the Housekeeping Team).
Some discretion will be required to encourage the pupil’s confidence, but this must be combined with awareness that certain issues may need to be discussed, possibly anonymously, with the Houseparent or other senior staff.
