You’ll be working with children and young people with a variety of special educational needs which include social, emotional, and mental health, autism spectrum conditions, dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and other associated learning difficulties. Our approach is positive and flexible to meet all the needs of our children as if they were our own. We want the best for our pupils, and we see beyond the labels and negative assumptions from the past.

You will work as part of Cedar House School’s Leadership Team and report directly to the Head Teacher for this crucial role. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other members of the Witherslack Group team in different locations to enable you to progress and develop your skills and knowledge. As a Designated Safeguarding Lead at Cedar House School, you will take responsibility for safeguarding within the school, this means that daily you will be liaising with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents/carers, and staff on matters of wellbeing, child protection and safeguarding and will be a great source of support, advice, and expertise in the team.
