Support Worker

**Duties**:

- Provide care and support to individuals in need, including seniors, individuals with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Dementia, physical disabilities, and those in assisted living.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document any changes or concerns.
- Monitor and manage challenging behaviors through behavior management techniques.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding if necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals under your care.
- Assisting in community integration activities

**Skills**:

- Experience in senior care and familiarity with the specific needs of seniors.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies.
- Understanding of mental health, learning disabilities and dementia care techniques and strategies.
- Proficiency in medication administration and adherence to medication schedules.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required.
- Familiarity with assisted living and nursing home environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

**Salary**: £10.75-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 48 per week

- GCSE or equivalent (required)

- Support Worker: 1 year (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

- Kendall, Cumbria: Relocate before starting work (required)
