**Rate Of Pay**:£43,000 to £48,000 Per Annum

**Shift Patterns**:37.5hrs a week Guaranteed, Permanent Contract

**Information about the Role**:
**Working as a Head Of Social Care at Waterloo Manor your duties will include the following**:

- Ensure that all care, assessment and treatment is delivered within the clinical ethos of the unit.
- Be responsible for maintaining positive links with patient’s family, friends and interested others.
- Be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of clinical practice is achieved and that the social care delivered to patients is of a consistently high standard.
- Work closely with other professional staff ensuring a consistent pattern of care for each individual patient.
- Establish and maintain high standards of professional practice and levels of care.
- Help to ensure that the admission, leave and discharge of patients is appropriately and sensitively organised and achieved with the mínimal amount of disruption to the patient.
- Act as ‘appropriate adult’ in respect of PACE interviews and procedures.

**Information about the service**:
The service is gender specific, working with women who have complex mental health issues. Waterloo Manor is the largest female Personality Disorder service in the United Kingdon that provides assessment and treatment services for women with complex mental health & disorders. The Hospital provides both low secure and rehabilitation services.

**Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Head Of Social Care**:

- Have a relevant professional qualification and experience of direct work with the client group.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that the staff team have an up to date working knowledge of developments in Social Work practice.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of resources and make this available to colleagues so that they are fully informed of choices, options and any other assistance available.
- Be competent in the performance of professional procedures and practices.
- Have an understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and practice within the requirements of this legislation.
