Onward Care Domestic Cleaner

Job Introduction
Hours will be ad hoc but will be between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Sunday.
Rate of pay: £11 per hour
You will be paid for your travel time to each residential property. Properties will be within a 30-mile radius from Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out house clean to these levels:
- General light cleaning and tidying up required
- General cleaning with some deep cleaning activities
- Deep cleaning required throughout
- Liaise with Care planner in any regard concerning the client: e.g., maintenance issues, hazards identified, inability to carry out certain task.
- Always use and care of approved cleaning materials and equipment in accordance with the operator instructions.
- Ensure that all equipment and materials are used and stored safely in compliance with COSHH regulations.
- Undertake all cleaning duties in a safe manner.
- Specific duties will include but may not be limited to all of the following:
- Vacuuming and mopping of floors
- Cleaning of furniture and fittings
- Cleaning of bathrooms and toilets
- Disposal of waste (indoor to outdoor bin)
- High and low level cleaning of ledges, window sills, curtain rails etc.)
- General tidy of outdoor areas, to ensure there is sufficient access to and from building
- Cleaning of glass patricians and mirrors
- Acting within remit of knowledge and always seeking advice if unsure, in a helpful, polite, cheerful and friendly manner when dealing directly with clients..
- Use all PPE as required and identified. These may include gloves, overshoes, aprons, masks, goggles etc.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.
Essential:
- Driver with own vehicle and appropriate insurance.
- Good level of English
- Able to participate in induction training
- Cleaning experience and dealing with COSHH
- Able to pick up ad hoc jobs with 48 hours notice
Desirable:
- DBS Enhanced Check
- Emergency First at Work
