JOB SUMMARY
ARC Landscaping undertakes hard landscaping, soft landscaping and grounds maintenance. Our landscape contracts are typically associated with private homes, although some work at commercial and school sites is also likely, so you will generally be working on domestic properties.

As a Landscape Operative you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of manual landscaping duties. Whilst you will normally be working with others, you will be expected to have the ability to work to a high standard without close supervision. However, support and advice will always be available.

The work is physically demanding. You will be working outside in all weathers.
Note: Whilst you will primarily be involved in landscape works, there may be occasions when you will be required to undertake other duties to meet client requirements

KEY TASKS
At all times:
Promote the company's professional image on site. A professional approach to work on site includes
- attention to spoken language as well as courtesy to clients
- working in accordance with the Health and Safety requirements.
- Care and attention to the site, the facilities and any tools that are used

The key tasks of the position can be broadly summarised as follows:
Hard Landscaping
- Undertake minor demolition works.
- Assist in the construction of stone or brick walls, retaining structures, laying kerbs, timber edgings, concrete block paving, setts, slabs, stone paths / concreting etc.
- Erection of garden buildings, furniture or play equipment.
- Assisting in the erection of various types of fences
- Assisting in the installation of land drainage and surface water drainage systems

Soft Landscaping
- The cultivation and preparation of ground for turfing, seeding or planting.
- Taking delivery of and planting trees, shrubs, ground cover and herbaceous plants.
- Mulching planted areas with bark, mushroom compost peat or similar materials.
- Completing turfing and seeding works.

Safe and Efficient tool use
- You will be required to use a wide range of power tools such as disk saws, drills etc. and to operate many different items of plant including mini excavators, dumpers, rollers and the like whilst undertaking the above works.

**Salary**: £18,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Yearly bonus

Work is outside and socially distanced so Covid-19 risks are low

**Experience**:

- Landscaping or horticulture: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 100% (required)
