An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Part Time Mobile Health Records Clerical Officer to work within the Data Subject Access Request team. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to gain hands on experience in a busy and thriving, supportive workplace.

Working 30 hours per week (hours to be worked Monday - Friday) you will predominantly be based at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, however, as the position is mobile, there may be the requirement to cover St Andrews Community Hospital, Adamson Hospital in Cupar, or Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline. You must also be aware that there may, on occasions be a short notice change to the working location to ensure the service is always fully staffed in all locations.

The Health Records Department provides multi-hospital/multi-section comprehensive 24-hour Health Records Service across Fife incorporating Clinical Coding, Information Management, Inpatient Services, Emergency Department, Minor Injuries Unit, Records Libraries, Scanning, Data Subject Access Requests, Outpatients, Waiting Times, Overseas Visitor Status and NHS Fife Switchboard.

Previous Admin/Clerical experience preferably in a Health Records department is desirable. A knowledge of GDPR and confidentiality is preferred.

You must have the ability to prioritise and manage the day to day workload in a busy, fast paced environment whilst ensuring all current legislation is adhered to. You must be able to follow instruction clearly and effectively. You must have the ability to work on your own initiative with mínimal supervision at times.

Good organisational & listening skills are essential as well as a flexible approach to working. A good level of English language competency and good communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and effectively are required.
