Bookkeeping & Payroll Administrator

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper and payroll professional who would enjoy working within a small but busy accountancy practice. You would help look after our portfolio of clients to whom we provide these services and work within our team to ensure that deadlines are met and clients are happy.

**Responsibilities**:
- Processing of bookkeeping and VAT Returns on a monthly basis using Xero software
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and deductions
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees
- Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy
- Maintain employee records and update payroll information as needed
- Collaborate with HR to ensure proper handling of employee benefits, taxes, and deductions
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and compliance requirements
- Prepare payroll-related reports for management as needed
- Assist with year-end payroll activities
**Requirements**:
- AAT or similar qualification preferred but not essential
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll roles, either within another company or self-employed
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations
- Proficiency in Xero
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Pay: £26,644.52-£30,000.00 per year
