**As part of the Business Insight data team, the post-holder will**:

- Operate within Business & Design Assurance providing services to North Yorkshire Police
- Respond to Freedom of Information requests
- Provide data to a range of external customers in order to meet statutory or other agreed reporting requirements (e.g. Home Office, HMICFRS, partners)
- Provide data to a range of internal customers in order to inform service improvement, inspection, research and/or analysis products.
- Assist in the production of reports to support organisational performance monitoring

The main focus of this role will be to work within the scope of the standard operating procedure, delivering services in line with the associated key performance indicators and following North Yorkshire Police processes and policies. This will involve engaging with clients to design and build management information report requirements appropriate to both customer and organisational need, that supports organisational oversight and self-service.

You will deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate real value to front line services through data and results. This will include scrutinising systems, collating data, preparing output, outcome and trend analysis and working with partners and service providers to ensure information accuracy.

There is an expectation that the successful post holder will engage in self-learning, embrace the skills development as set out in the Career Progression Plan (as far as allowed by the timescales) and show a commitment to continuously develop what Business Insight can offer.
