Location: Northallerton with access to a York base as required with the expectation to visit sites across the county

We are looking for an experienced project manager to join our Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to deliver projects that help to grow the North Yorkshire economy and fulfil the priority objectives of the North Yorkshire UK Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) Investment Plan.

**Who we are**

Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) are non-statutory bodies responsible for local economic development in England. We are business-led partnerships that bring together the private sector, local authorities and academic and voluntary institutions. We work with central government to set local investment priorities, as well as local employers and job centres to help people back to work, we lead changes in how businesses are regulated locally, support high-growth local businesses, and help deliver national priorities such as skills training, UK Shared Prosperity Fund, business support, digital infrastructure and renewable energy projects.

**The role**

As our SPF Partnership Officer, you will support the Senior Strategy Managers (UK SPF) in the delivery of the North Yorkshire UK SPF Investment Plan, working closely alongside partners and stakeholders. You will understand the needs of the relevant business communities, and work with partners to share and use this understanding to optimise conditions for sustainable growth as well as deliver projects that help to grow the North Yorkshire economy and fulfil the priority objectives of the North Yorkshire UK SPF Investment plan.

You will facilitate the development of programmes and projects that deliver economic benefits for York and North Yorkshire, harness both public and private sector investment in the delivery of these projects and programmes, and ensure projects and programmes are delivered effectively and maximise their impact. You will also assist the Local Enterprise Partnership in building wider business engagement across the sub region, identify improvement, growth and expansion opportunities for local businesses, and have the ability to bring an entrepreneurial approach to the delivery of the service, using initiative.

**What you will bring.**

You must be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written as this is vital to the role.

You will be a strong analytical thinker with the ability to analyse data and have managed a range of programmes and projects. You must be able to demonstrate experience in working collaboratively with others, co-ordinating activities, and capture. Have a good practice in business engagement and knowledge of corporate principles such as business models, business finance, market development and supply chain operation, and have significant understanding of the challenges and opportunities for rural/larger businesses as well as their support structure.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience in Community and Business engagement, and partnership & development as project management training will be provided.
