Stock Assistant

**Stock Assistant’s**

We are recruiting for four stock assistants to work alongside the current stock team, ensuring the continuity of the company stock and ensuring that our availability is maintained to the highest levels

**Hours of work: -** 07:30-16:30 Mon Fri (11:30-20:30 beginning of the month/1st Monday)

You will need to be flexible regarding finish times, as you may be asked to help the main operation.

**Reports to: -** Stock Controller & Stock Manager.

Key tasks: - To ensure the constant accuracy of stock within the warehouse. Monitor the goods that have come in, monitor all movements on the computer system and rectify as necessary.

**Principal Accountabilities.**
- Responsible for goods that enter the building, ensuring that they are available for immediate picking to our customers.
- Creation of locations for new products and labelling of them.
- Create large enough locations, to minimise the amount of drop downs.
- Creation of fast-moving pick locations to maximise efficiencies within the warehouse.
- Ensure that the warehouse completes the cycle of perpetual inventory.
- Constantly monitor best-selling lines to maximise efficiencies.
- Ensure that all stock entering and leaving the building has a secure audit trail.
- All stock queries are investigated quickly, and a resolution sought.
- In conjunction with other departments, move slow or obsolete lines out of the warehouse to free up locations.
- Liaise on a regular basis with management.
- Be innovative in seeking improvements to the warehouse and its stock control.
- Possess a FLT, VNA, Scissor lift licence or at least be prepared to undertake the training course to achieve this. (A head for heights is required)

This is by no means an exhaustive list of roles and responsibilities and you may be asked to perform additional tasks to ensure the effective running of the distribution centre.
