Applications are invited for a 6 month maternity cover for one of our recently identified HEE gaps. Hand and Wrist specialty.

Please note that our out of training fellows will be employed on the 2002 "old" contract.

There will be an emphasis on more orthopaedic procedures (arthroscopic wrist surgery, joint replacements, carpal instability) on the elective side but equal exposure to soft tissue/ plastics procedures on the trauma side (flexor tendons, nerve repairs, soft tissue reconstruction).

Roles and responsibilities
- Management of Hand and Wrist Surgery cases in the outpatient setting (supervised)
- Management of Hand and Wrist Surgery cases in the operating theatre (supervised)
- Presentation of cases at the weekly academic meeting
- Ward round review of in-patients and their on-going care
- Research involving Hand and Wrist surgery-based studies
- Teaching of Junior staff
- Daily am trauma meetings
