Manchester, United Kingdom Chestnut house care home Full time

Activity Coordinator - Chestnut House care home

Care Home Competitive + excellent benefits. Looking for full time Activity coordinator.

Need to be fully flexible.

Bring your personality to Chestnut House Care Home coordinating the activities that bring a new lease of life and creativity to all of our residents.

About the role Become the life and soul of a care home dedicated to providing the highest standards in care. Our lovingly well-kept homes are equipped with everything from modern dining rooms to salons; lounges to activity rooms, and that last one, of course, is where you come in.

As our new activities coordinator, you'll be the creative mind who dreams up and organizes our brilliant activities programme.

Whether it's hobbies or group events, your extensive plans will be designed to help our residents maintain their independence, their wellbeing, and their enthusiasm for life.

Ultimately, that's what it's all about: enriching lives. You'll be getting to know our residents, their interests and their life stories, so that you can deliver events just right for them. You'll know the skill they used to turn their hand to and the old favourite hobby that always puts a smile on their face. You're forming deep connections with each and every resident you meet - and helping them build a connection with each other and with their community.

Who we're looking for In short, you're someone who strikes just the right balance: you've got creativity and positivity in spades, but you've also got the practical mind to balance your budget and to maintain the paperwork that goes along with your brilliant events. You love what you do - every part of it - and you never lose sight of why your work is so important. Of course, your infectious enthusiasm will get others involved too. Whether it's motivating colleagues to support each event, making links in the local area, or even getting visiting friends and family involved, you'll pack a lot of community spirit into everything you do - and our residents will love you for it.
