**Job Purpose**

As a Document Controller in a Part 145 Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organisation, your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain all relevant documentation and records essential to the company's operations. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and industry best practices. The Document Controller will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to facilitate smooth document flow and accurate record-keeping.

**Main Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Organise, categorise, and maintain all documentation related to the MRO operations, including maintenance manuals, repair procedures, engineering data, service bulletins, and technical documents.

2. Ensure that all documents are up-to-date, accurate, and properly version-controlled.

3. Implement a robust filing system to enable quick retrieval and accessibility of documents as needed.

4. Stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements, particularly those specified by relevant aviation authorities (e.g. CAA, FAA, EASA).

5. Track revisions and updates to documents, ensuring that the latest versions are available and obsolete versions are properly archived.

6. Facilitate the distribution of documents and workpacks to the appropriate personnel and departments within the organization.

7. Ensure that the right individuals have access to the necessary documents while maintaining confidentiality and data security.

8. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all document-related activities, including issuance, revision, distribution, and archiving.

9. Generate reports on document control metrics and share them with management as required.

10. Assist in internal and external audits related to document control processes.

11. Continuously review and improve document control procedures and workpack processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

12. Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance the document control system.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Document Controller in an aviation Part 145 MRO organisation is highly advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of MRO’s and OEM workshops and their capabilities
- Excellent organisational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with different departments and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to identify areas for improvement
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent computer skills to include the use of all Microsoft office tools.
- The ability to remain calm in stressful situations
