The Role

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
- Monitor inboxes across Bids & CS task areas, responding in a timely manner inline with departmental standards.
- Perform Bids tasks as assigned, including but not limited to inbox management, preparation of Auctioneers Books and Telephone Bid allocation, auction clerking responsibilities, Christie’s LIVE activities, online sale management, sale closing procedures, reporting for Specialist Departments.
- Support internal and external clients with all aspects of bidding, providing guidance and processing requests across all bidding channels.
- Master Christie’s systems, including LIVE Bid Management, Dotcom Admin tool, JDE and COS.
- Handle internal and external client queries via phone.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and follow correct procedures for anti-money laundering and credit control, liaising with respective teams when required.
- Support Supervisors and Seniors with department training along with training and management of casual staff.
- Provide telephone bidding, and Christie’s LIVE clerking support if requested.
- Provide offsite sale support to global Service Operations teams if required both in person and remotely.
- Demonstrate flexibility by supporting with sale, inbox and FOH coverage during evenings and weekends as required.
- Maintain and handle sale document archiving and audits.
- Demonstrate a strong awareness of overall business activities and the ability to communicate relevant information.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.

- Accuracy and attention to detail in dealing with all client data.

- Extensive experience of Microsoft packages and other specialised systems.
- Professional appearance following specified dress code.
- Commitment to regular and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work well as a team and promote team effectiveness.
- Desire to learn and take on new challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
- Proven time/task management and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally and be an ambassador for Service Operations.
- Able to work in a fast paced multi-tasking environment.
- A problem solver with the ability to seek continuous improvement.
- Excellent general IT skills.
