Mental Health Recovery Worker

Elder Stubbs Recovery Group offers Restore service users (Members) the opportunity to engage in a range of structured activities aimed at supporting them to take control of their mental health recovery, develop skills, build confidence, and connect with peers.
The Recovery Group staff team provides information, support and guidance, delivering horticulture and woodwork activities alongside access to one to one coaching and tailored resources on employment and training.
**Job Summary**
To support the day-to-day running of the Elder Stubbs recovery group, working alongside staff team and volunteers, as well as group members, to help deliver a high quality and effective service that achieves positive outcomes for participants.

**_Essential and Desirable Requirements_**
**Essential**
- Good reporting and IT Skills in Word, Excel and Database
- Qualified to Level C GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
- Able to participate in reflective learning, personal and professional development.
- An awareness and understanding of the potential for change, development, hope and recovery in the context of experiencing a mental health problem
- An awareness and understanding of the impact of mental health stigma and discrimination on individuals with lived experience.
- Awareness and understanding of the issues faced by people with Multiple and Complex Needs
- An ability to work on your own initiative, to priorities, organise work, set and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) when working both internally and with external agencies and services
- Proven ability to form effective, positive and motivational relationships.
- Ability to assess information quickly and make sound judgments.
- Ability to keep accurate and up to date records and support others to do so.
- To recognise and value all aspects of diversity and an understanding of the importance of Equality, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
- To be able to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with Service Users, individually and as a group.
**Desirable**
- Knowledge and experience of working with people with experience of mental health problem
- Experience of recovery focused key working, recovery reviews, goal setting and reflection, needs and risk assessment.
