**ISEB is looking for a highly organised, self-starting Assistant to the CEO. **The current CEO has initiated a range of exciting projects whilst maintaining and strengthening the core business. This role will provide the CEO with the personal support needed to deliver their vision for the development of ISEB, ensuring it becomes a market leader in assessment, admissions and accreditation in the independent sector, with an outstanding reputation and brand. It is an exciting time for ISEB and the postholder will be an integral part of all that is happening within the organisation, supporting on and even initiating strategic projects, working closely with the CEO. As an organisation under significant change, we’re looking for someone with a start-up mindset, willing to turn their hand to anything and support the company and its staff to grow and evolve to change assessment and children’s outcomes for the future.

This is **a hybrid role**, with at least three days per week from our office in Ringwood, Hampshire. Salary £25k.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Providing an effective and highly efficient diary management and administrative service, ensuring that the CEO is kept appropriately informed of progress on tasks and projects and any potential conflicts in priorities, which may affect deadlines.
- Prepare the CEO’s daily file to ensure essential paperwork for each meeting is ready (briefing notes, discussion points etc).
- Collating weekly and monthly reports, roadmaps, and dashboards from each department for CEO review.
- Supporting the CEO with managing creation of board documentation, conference resources and press articles.
- Organising meetings and events chaired and/or attended by the CEO, including the preparation and circulation of papers, taking minutes, arranging venues and catering, and other requirements for the CEO’s visitors as required.
- Undertaking a wide range of administrative and project work for the CEO across every area of the business.
- Attending industry events or key meetings at independent schools to learn more about the sector and be part of the team.
- Carrying out any other duties that are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
- Office support for our small Ringwood base.

**PERSON & TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION**
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, as well as both written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; you’ll be communicating with a range of high-profile individuals.
- Hits deadlines and is able to proactively manage workload to meet or exceed these.
- A self-starter - able to pick up any task quickly and effectively.
- Organised, proactive team player, flexible and calm under pressure, able to work collaboratively.
- Discreet and tactful in all matters where sensitivity or confidentiality is critical.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across disciplines.
- Proactive problem solver and active listener.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, you will be working with some of the world’s top schools and other CEOs and executives in Education and Technology.
- Able to work occasional weekends and evenings.
- Experience of or willingness to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment, able to learn fast, switch register and have the confidence to deal with a range of new situations.

**Selection criteria**
- Relevant experience in a similar role, or a role with clear transferable skills;
- Experience and enjoyment of a front-line position working with a variety of people;
- Proven IT skills to include confident use of Microsoft Office, enterprise organisation and project management software (eg Asana) and the ability to create and manipulate company business intelligence from data;
- A desire to work in a company with a start-up ethos, and experience working proactively in a similar fast-paced and dynamic way/organisation;
- An ability to organise tasks and systems in an efficient and effective manner;
- An ability to remain calm under pressure, resolve problems and meet deadlines under these conditions;
- A high degree of literacy to draft correspondence and papers on behalf of the CEO;
- Tact, discretion and complete reliability;

**HOURS OF WORK**

35 hours per week. Normal office hours are 9-5 Monday to Friday at our offices in Ringwood, Hampshire.

**SALARY**

£25,000 per year

**ANNUAL LEAVE**

28 days per year plus additional days for holiday closures
